This book / audio cassette played a major role in my growing up years. My siblings and I still know some of the words of the songs until now! We recalled a few songs and sang our stress away when our Volkswagen died on us in the middle of Monumento earlier :p Its really really fun! Now, I cant seem to find our cassette tape and illustrated lyrics book. :(
Bop Like A Bunny! Waddle Like A Duck! is a collection of animal songs, but not the usual dogs-bark-cats-meow-ducks-quack. Each song is about a certain animal, the lyrics sung by the animal itself.
I remember some of them...
Bunny: [Hop like a Bunny]
Hop Hop Hop like a bunny
Bop Bop Bop like a bunny
Dont you stop little honey
Worm: [Inch Worm]
... and I move some more, 1, 2, 3, 4
Crawling slowly across the floor
Oh its such a zinch
To be an Inch Worm
Just inch, inch, inching along...
Gorilla: [Gorilla Rap]
...And stomp you feet!
Into the jungle beat.
I say ugh! (UGH!)
Ugh! (UGH!)
Doing the gorilla rap.
I say ugh! (UGH!)
Ugh! (UGH!)
Doing the gorilla rap.
Penguin: [Penguin Polka]
... On the ice, we'll slip and slide
We'll gonna do the Penguin Polka
Even in the snowy weather
We can do it altogether
...Down in the old South Pole!
Step, together, HOP!
Step, together, HOP!
Step, together, hop hop hop!
Hop hop hop, you just cant stop!
Owl:
Who
Are you?
Who
Do you see?
Who
Is sitting up on this tree?
Frog:
... Splittily Splash
Im hopin' a flash
If you come close to my log
Splashing here and splashing there
Its a day in a life of a Frog!
There are some pa, like the Flamingo, Panther, Turtle, Duck, Horse and many more! The melody is really fun and easy to follow. :)
I really hope i'll find our cassette soon and look for a recording store so they can convert the cassette to mp3 format. I so miss this!
